Here are some pictures from the welcoming event in our school yard. Pupils arranged many kinds of activites outside. We saw for example music performances, traditional plays, stone art and sport. The sixth graders were guides for the visitors and the whole school was part of this morning happening.

After the morning welcoming seremonies, the guests went to pay a visit to the primary education classes. Pupils were divided into smaller groups from the pre-school to the 2nd grade. These flexible teaching arrangements are a natural part of the learning process in our school.
After lunch curriculum project coordinator Tiina Sarisalmi presented the Finland's new curriculum, which was bring into use this August.
After Tiina's representation, our school special education teachers introduced the special education in Finland and how it works in our school.
